Organic True Ceylon Cinnamon Quills
This organic cinnamon is the aromatic bark of a variety of the laurel tree, native to Sri Lanka and S. India. Can be used in Oriental, African and Indian savoury dishes, but commonly used in the West to flavour sweet dishes, desserts, cakes, drinks and syrups.
These aromatic cinnamon sticks are synonymous with cosy nights in during cold wintry evenings: can be used to flavour drinks such as mulled wine, punch, hot chocolate, chai tea, or for rice puddings and stewed apples and pears.
Sticks can also be bundled together with ribbon to create festive decorations or added to a potpourri with dried orange slices for a sweet spicy Christmassy aroma.
It is best to store spices in airtight glass jars away from sources of heat and light in order to keep them fresh and retain full flavour. Repurposing pesto jars or small jam jars are ideal for storing up to 50g of dried spice.
